Trevi Fountain

Iconic fountain.
As you wander through the narrow streets of the Trevi district in Rome, you will come across a small piazza which is entirely dominated by this sumptuous baroque fountain.
Designed by architect Nicola Salvi and completed in 1762 by Niccolo Pannini, the famous Trevi Fountain is a must-see monument in Rome. The design of the fountain shows water as a key element of life and health.
The fountain is located at the end of an ancient aqueduct, the story of which is told in the facade's sculptural reliefs. The fountain has appeared in several films, and is especially famous as the setting for an iconic scene in La Dolce Vita. Don't forget to throw a coin over your shoulder into the fountain - according to legend this means you will be sure to return to Rome one day.
